Register children now for Winter Camp
North Port’s Parks & Recreation Department will host a Winter Camp for students in first grade through eighth grade.
The camp will be offered 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on December 26-28, Dec. 31, and Jan. 2-4. The cost is $90. For parents looking for a longer camp day, a morning and evening Extended Care option is available for an additional fee. Morning Extended Care is offered from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for $10 per child for the duration of camp. Evening Extended Care is offered from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $10 per child for the duration of camp.
“We are happy to be able to provide this camp during the winter break and provide a safe place for students to go around the holidays,” said Parks & Recreation Manager Tricia Wisner. “Our camp counselors are busy planning a ton of activities. It’s going to be a great time.”
Registration will be accepted at the Morgan Family Community Center, George Mullen Activity Center or online. For more information on parks and recreation programs, services and events, call (941) 429-7275 or visit www.cityofnorthport.com/parksandrecreation.
