City, Art Center host Arts on the Green on March 10

The City of North Port's Parks & Recreation Division, in collaboration with the North Port Art Center, will host Arts on the Green from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 10, 2018 at the City Center Front Green, 4970 City Hall Blvd.

The event will include displays from local artists, food and merchandise vendors, demonstrations and more. Arts on the Green also will feature a large community mural for attendees to color during the event.

In addition, the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business & Community Expo will be taking place inside the George Mullen Activity Center, right next door, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event has received the support of the City’s Art Advisory Board and the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board.

Admission and parking is free.

Local artists and craft enthusiasts are invited to provide on-site demonstrations in a variety of mediums and exhibit their original and creative work. Crafters, artisans, and other related vendors will have the opportunity to sell their handcrafted, one-of-a-kind art and gift items. Booth spaces are 10x10 and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited electric access. Deadline for applications is March 2, 2018. The cost is $25 for food or merchandise vendors, and free for nonprofit or government agencies (no sales or food/beverage distribution). Download a vendor registration form.
