What is Playful CityUSA?
Playful CityUSA is a national recognition program honoring cities and towns determined to prioritize play and ensure that children are healthy by providing time and space for play. The City of North Port was named a Playful City USA for the eighth consecutive year in 2017 and joins 258 communities nationwide as a Playful City USA Community.
As part of the Playful City USA program, other communities across the country look to North Port as a role model. These cities and towns will examine our best practices and look to replicate them in their communities. There is great pride in knowing that what we're doing in North Port will improve the lives of our children and children throughout our nation.
