North Port, FL
Hope Park was purchased by the City of North Port in 1980 from General Development Corporation. The City Commission formally accepted the deed to the land known as Mt. Hope Park on January 28, 1980. The 1.89 acre park includes a small pavilion, playground, picnic tables, benches, swing, grill and a large green space area.
Within the park you can find Sabal Palm, Slash Pine, Live Oak, Water Oak, Chinese Tallow and Persimmon trees. The pavilion at this park is available for rental.
The park was adopted by the North Port Neighborhood Watch, Inc. in April of 2013. The Adopt-A-Park program is designed to enlist the help of the public in maintaining and beautifying neighborhood parks and recreation facilities. Through Adopt-A-Park partnerships such as this one, the City is able to maintain and improve the park system and keep our parks beautiful and safe for the enjoyment of park users.
