SPECIAL NOTE: During the month of November, the Tax Collector and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will be in City Hall on Wednesday, November 4; Wednesday, November 18; and Wednesday November 25. They will not be here during the second and fourth Wednesday.
The Sarasota County Tax Collector and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles are at City Hall twice a month.

New requirements for all drivers licenses (U.S. Citizens only)
Renewing a current Florida driver’s license or Florida identification card:

Two Proofs of Residence, such as a deed, a monthly mortgage statement, residential rental/lease agreement, and/or utility hook-up (or work order) dated within 60 days

Proof of Social Security number, such as a social security card, a tax return, a W-2 form, a pay check stub, a DD-214 (military discharge document), a school record.
New Florida driver’s license or identification card in addition to the above:
**The name on each document must match exactly or be accompanied by an official marriage certificate or court order.
