The North Port Police Department's Law Enforcement Division currently has over 60 sworn police officers. The Operations Division consists of Road Patrol, Animal Control and Auxiliary.

Two officers patrol the city on bicycles and two patrol with certified K-9 Patrol Dogs.

In addition to all of the Department’s dedicated road patrol officers, the Operations Division also has two animal control officers and currently two Auxiliary officers.
