North Port veterans and members of their families who need assistance, information and advice regarding benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs are encouraged to meet with Sarasota County Veterans Service Office.
The office is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Room 264 at North Port City Hall, 4970 City Hall Boulevard by appointment only. Take the elevator to the second floor, then proceed ahead slightly to the right and follow the hallway to Room 264. If you do not have an appointment, be sure to call the Veterans Service Office before visiting as sometimes hours are adjusted based on staffing.
The Veterans Service Office representatives know the extent, the meaning and the application of laws that have been passed by the U.S, Congress in the interests of veterans and their dependents. They also know the rules and regulations adopted by the Department of Veterans Affairs to clarify and implement those laws.
