The City of North Port offers a variety of programs for the winter holidays, including:
Mayors' Feed the Hungry Food Drive from Nov. 7 through Nov. 17. Drop off nonperishable food at City Hall, 4970 City Hall Blvd.
12 Days of Giving Food and Toy Drive from Nov. 27 through Dec. 8. Drop off nonperishable food and unwrapped toys at City Hall, 4970 City Hall Blvd.
Home for the Holidays Program is designed to provide income eligible North Port families assistance during the holiday season.
Tree Lighting and Poinsettia Festival, presented by Suncoast Credit Union, on Dec. 9 at City Center, 4970 City Hall Blvd.
Poinsettia Parade, presented by Quality TV, on Dec. 9 along Sumter Boulevard.
Gingerbread Land Contest hosted by the City's Volunteer Program.
