The City of North Port’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in sponsoring several upcoming events and activities this Fall and Winter season.

The City offers a tiered sponsorship program, including presenting, gold, silver, bronze, and in-kind opportunities. Some of the events that are available for sponsorship include Trick or Treat at City Hall, Newcomer Day, a Concert in the Park, Poinsettia Parade, Poinsettia Festival, and more. In the first quarter of 2019, Parks & Recreation will host a variety of events, including a Run, Rock, & Roll 5K, the Movie on the Green series, Arts on the Green, and a Community Health & Wellness Fair.

There also are opportunities for businesses, organizations, and individuals to sponsor programs, including activities for local teens, the City’s Tea Time program, and others.

Meanwhile, the City’s Social Services Division will be looking for agencies interested in getting involved with the annual Home for the Holidays assistance program, including a new Senior Giving Tree program this year.

At 104.3-square-miles and more than 70,000 residents, North Port is the largest municipality in Sarasota County. Each of Parks & Recreation’s events and programs provide an opportunity to reach a diverse audience. The Parks & Recreation Department hosts more than 80 events and programs each year.
