- North Port Police Department participate in mock scenario drill Code Pink with Sarasota Memorial Hospital for missing/abducted children.
- Staff attend Ft. Myers academy to solicit new recruits for hire.
- North Port Fire Rescue personnel responded to 157 incidents. These responses included, two residential fire, one outside fire, two vehicle fires, 115 EMS calls, four hazardous condition, 19 service calls, seven good intent calls, and seven false alarms.
- North Port Fire Rescue personnel attended the review of an EMS reporting program designed to provide more data on cardiac arrest patient outcomes. This training session was provided by a representative from the Florida Department of Health and was held at the Charlotte County Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
- Utilities Engineer Manager, Mike Acosta attended AWWA meeting in Denver, CO.
- Budget staff published the fiscal year 2020 City Manager Recommended Budget.
- Staff attended the Florida Government Finance Officers Association's annual conference.

The contractor for the Grid 205 drainage project, located near north of Dalhart Avenue and off of Saybrook Avenue, has been completed. Restoration of sodding is underway. The project has been completed two months ahead of schedule.
A pre-construction meeting for the Sardinia Avenue sidewalk project from Salford Boulevard to Pincushion Street was held on June 4, 2019, and construction is expected to start within two weeks.
The contractor completed pipe work near Kinsley Road and Eden Court and is finalizing the restoration and sodding of the areas. Will be mobilizing to Espanola Avenue the week of June 17-21.

- North Port residents called in two smoke detector service requests. Fire Rescue personnel checked 10 detectors, replaced ---- batteries, and installed ---- detectors.
- North Port Fire Rescue personnel approved 12 P-card transactions and processed 143 invoices totaling $65,683.63 for goods and services.
- North Port Fire Rescue personnel purchased $3,104.92 in EMS supplies and pharmaceuticals.

- North Port Fire Rescue personnel completed EMS practical skills evaluations with EMS Field Training Officers.

- Parks & Recreation staff processed 79 Achieve Anything memberships consisting of 6 annual memberships, 11 three-month memberships, 4 one-month memberships, and 58 D-Fy memberships.
- A total of 856 membership and daily/drop-in visits were made to the Morgan and Mullen Community Centers.
- There were 17 facility rentals for a total of 27.75 hours, 9 Scout House rentals for a total of 31 hours, and 5 pavilion rentals for a total of 18 hours.
- Community Centers facilitated 45.5 hours of Community Service.
- Parks & Recreation completed a three-day onsite accreditation visit with CAPRA.
- Summer Camp has been busy! In a partnership with Sarasota Schools and the U.S. Department of Agriculture we were able to serve 35 Breakfast Meals and 151 Lunch Meals at no cost to our campers. Kids enjoyed a field trip was to the Bradenton Marauders Stadium where campers were treated to lunch and one of our campers were chosen to start the game by saying "let's play ball".
- The Child Protection Center (CPC) visited our campers and educated campers on Bullying prevention the lesson aimed at identifying bullying and harassment behaviors. Teaching safe age-appropriate, nonviolent responses to bullying.
- Staff continued interviews for the North Port Aquatic Center Pool Technician and Head Lifeguard positions.
- Aquatics staff secured an engineering company to complete the Affidavit of Compliance for our water amenities and developed an informal RFQ for CO2 tanks/supply that has been sent out for quotes.
- Aquatics team also sent out scrutinized company forms to all potential vendors to make purchasing more efficient and created operational checklists for chemical maintenance, and daily opening/closing tasks.
- Staff completed an onsite walk-through of the North Port Aquatic Center with representatives from the Department of Health (DOH) to ensure the team is pro-actively meeting DOH benchmarks.
- Parks Maintenance pruned trees and hedges at the Garden of the Five Senses and replaced the faulty irrigation controller at GMAC. Staff also removed the temporary fencing around the new plants at the Canine Club entrance and disassembled and removed the Royal Restroom from Warm Mineral Springs Park.
- The Parks Maintenance team also cleaned the park signs at Kirk and Hope parks and trimmed hedges in front of the Morgan Family Center while completing the parks inventory.
- At the Atwater Park Splash Pad, staff removed several plants that were in the work zone of the new shade structure, cleaned the splash pad for repairs and sealing, and secured the post holes for the new shade structure.
- Parks Maintenance completed the ADA Transition Plan on all of the remaining parks that have not yet been through that process.
- Staff completed a small web project to correct broken links on the website, correcting 66 errors. Staff will also begin work on re-organizing the website layout and updating all the content in the Parks & Recreation section of the website.
- Staff completed some outreach at a Leadership North Port event at the Gardens on Sumter, providing attendees with information about programs, facilities, and upcoming events.
- Staff received the Florida Department of Transportation approval to the Temporary Traffic Control Plan for the "Freedom Festival" 4th of July celebration at Cool Today Park. The plan includes lane closures along US 41, Preto Boulevard and West Villages Parkway.
- The contractor continues working on the Eldron Avenue sidewalks. In the coming weeks, lane closures in the vicinity of Eldron Avenue and Flint Drive will be required to replace a crossing culvert pipe under these roads.
