Celebrate Halloween at the 13th Annual Trick or Treat at City Hall on October 25

Post Date:09/17/2019 1:26 PM

Grab your little ghosts and goblins! North Port families are invited to the 13th annual Trick or Treat at City Hall, presented by Suncoast Credit Union. Open to the public and with free admission, this signature event offers a safe trick-or-treat experience that is also a treasured local tradition.

This year, the event will be held on October 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at City Hall (4970 City Hall Blvd). City officials and staff will transform all three floors of City Hall into various scenes for attendees to enjoy. Please note - all children MUST be accompanied by an adult and dressed in costume. Pets and alcohol are prohibited. To enter City Hall, families will be asked to park their strollers outside the building due to the high traffic volume inside the building. Stroller parking will be available for those who need it.

Free parking will be available in the lots surrounding City Hall, the Police Station, the George Mullen Activity Center, as well as at the nearby Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.

“We’re fortunate to have such dedicated local organizations and City employees who volunteer their time and their money to make this event possible,” said Laura Ansel, Communications & Outreach Coordinator. “We hope that the community will come out and join us for a fun-filled and safe evening.”

This year, the event will include vendor/information booths along the candy corn trail, bounce houses, a pumpkin patch and hayride courtesy of the Firefighters Benevolent Association at North Port Fire Rescue, and more. City employees will also be hosting a Cans for Candy nonperishable food drive. Families are requested to bring a can of food per family, which will be donated to local food pantries. Look for our young marine volunteers who will take your donations!
