Make a Difference this Season
More than 600 children are registered for the City’s annual Home for the Holidays assistance program!
The City of North Port is seeking individuals, families, and organizations willing to help provide those children, who come from low income, eligible households, a holiday experience.
“The Home for the Holidays program connects those who want to give during the holiday season with those who truly need the help,” said Social Services Manager Janet Carrillo.
There are several ways in which people can give during the season, including:
- Participating in an Adopt-n-Shop program. Adopt a family through the City’s Social Services Division. You can adopt one family or several.
- Donating a gift card, cash, or check. Gift cards are welcome from any store. Cash or check donations are also welcome. The Social Services Division will make sure that your donation assists a family who needs it most.
“We continue to grow, and our community needs are increasing,” Carrillo said. “We are hoping businesses, nonprofits, and individuals are willing to adopt a family and make a difference this holiday season.”
