City of North Port Partnering with Chamber and Faith Based Community to Offer Hard Copy Reemployment Assistance Applications
In order to assist our community, the City of North Port, North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, and faith-based organizations within the City are making access to the Reemployment Assistance Application easier to obtain. By providing hard copies of the form, as well as links to an electronic, writable PDF version of the form, we hope to make the process easier for our residents.
Hard copies of the Reemployment Assistance Application can be obtained at these locations within the City: the Family Service Center at 6919 Outreach Way, North Port, in a designated stand outside of the Chamber office, located at 1337 N. Sumter Boulevard in North Port, at PostNet, located at 1121 W Price Blvd, North Port, FL 34288, and at New Hope Community Church, 5600 South Biscayne Dr., during their food pantry disbursement available Mondays and Fridays from 1pm-5pm.
Reemployment Assistance (also called reemployment assistance insurance) provides temporary wage replacement benefits to qualified individuals who are out of work through no fault of their own. Additionally, FedEx Office has partnered with the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to print applications and send them out every day for overnight delivery. The closet location to North Port is the FedEx Office in Venice at 1506 Venice Bypass S., Venice, FL (If individuals pick up hard copy forms up locally, they are encouraged to take them directly to the FedEx Office location in Venice for overnight delivery. Their hours are 9am – 6pm, with their shipment going out at approximately 4pm daily.)
