Roadwatch Report 8-14-17 

Motorists are reminded to wear safety belts and drive with caution, courtesy, common sense, and patience as they travel through work zones.  Remember, speeding fines are doubled in work zones.

 

Road construction scheduled for the week of June 8 – June 12, 2020:

There will be no milling or paving in the City this upcoming week.  However, restoration crews may be planting sod adjacent to newly paved roadways and cleaning up construction debris throughout the City, especially in areas where milling and paving was recently completed.  Roadway shoulders may be graded and any additional low spots will be filled along the edge of the pavement.

Bike Lanes scheduled to be constructed on S. Biscayne starting in mid-June:

Starting in mid-June, bicycle lanes are scheduled to be constructed on South Biscayne Drive, between Elyton Drive and Glenallen Boulevard. The bicycle lanes will be seven feet wide and constructed on both sides of the roadway. The project is funded through a grant from the Federal Highway Administration.

Please use caution when traveling in the area by paying attention to traffic signs and barricades. Your understanding and patience throughout the construction process is much appreciated.

 

Sidewalk on N. Salford Blvd, between Fonsica Ave and Corydon Ave, will be closed June 8-11:

The sidewalk on North Salford Boulevard, between Fonsica Avenue and Corydon Avenue, will be closed June 8 through June 11, weather permitting. Crews are replacing utility poles in the area.
