Effective Friday July 10, counter service on the first floor of City Hall will be suspended until further notice. This includes the Building, Code Enforcement, and Planning Divisions, along with Utility bill payments. The City is making this move out of an abundance of caution. A City employee who works in those areas tested positive for COVID-19.

All services will continue with options online and through the City’s drive-thru window at City Hall, 4970 City Hall Boulevard.

All permits can be dropped off and picked up at the Utilities drive-thru window or by emailing To pick up a permit you must make a payment online prior to pick up and call 941-429-7044 to let Building staff know you will be coming. Failure to do this step will result in wait times.

All permits and business tax receipts can be paid online at

For larger commercial permits we are still utilizing the bins located on the east side of City Hall near the Utilities Window.
