One Epic (and Active) Summer!
With a wide variety of safe, entertaining, and engaging activities - the annual Parks & Recreation Summer Camp provides positive and life-changing experiences for children and teens entering 1st through 8th grade. Depending on the camper's upcoming grade school level, they will join one of the camp offerings listed below.
Registration is available online or via our registration form that can be dropped off in-person at the Morgan Family Community Center (6207 West Price Blvd.) or at the George Mullen Activity Center(1602 Kramer Way). For questions, check out our FAQs or simply call us at 941-429-PARK(7275).
GMAC Summer Camp
An exciting full-day program that provides the opportunity to build character and self-esteem in both small and large group settings. Parents looking for a longer camp day can enroll their child in weekly extended care for an additional fee. No camp 7/3/20.
Grade: Entering 1st through 5th
Fee: $70 per week
Time: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Before/After Care available for additional fee from 7:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m./4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.)
Teen Xtreme Camp
This Teen Camp program combines all the fun of day camp with more challenging programs and activities for older kids. Campers will enjoy two field trips per week. No camp 7/3/20. Extended care is available for an additional cost. Teens with an Achieve Anything or D-Fy membership and parent permission may sign out after camp and use facility per membership guidelines.
Grade: Entering 6th through 8th
Fee: $85 per week
Time: 8:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m. (Before/After Care available for additional fee from 7:00 a.m.- 8:45 a.m./4:45 p.m.-6:00 p.m.)
Develop leadership and professional skills by joining the C.I.T. program. The GMAC Summer Camp program helps prepare C.I.T.’s for future summer camp positions. Fee includes training, supervision, and t-shirts. Candidates are selected through an application and interview process.
Download the 2020 CIT application. Deadline to apply is 4/27/20. Interviews will be scheduled the week of 5/4/20. Registration fee is due upon acceptance into the program. Space is limited to 15 CIT’s per session.
Grade: Entering 9th through 12th
Fee: $25 per week
Session 1: 6/1-7/2
Session 2: 7/6-8/7
Schedule: M-F, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
