Cast a Line at the Family Fishing Clinic

The City of North Port, in collaboration with North Port Fine Bait and Tackle, will offer a Family Fishing Clinic from 9 am – 12 pm on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at McKibben Park (5500 Trekell Street).

Instructors will show attendees basic fishing skills, such as how to tie knots, cast, bait hooks, and remove fish from the hook. No fishing license is required to participate. Adults must bring a child or children and all kids (age 16 and under) must be accompanied by an adult. Parent participation at this event is required so families have the opportunity to learn together.

Cost is only $5 per person and advance registration is required. The event is limited to 50 attendees, so sign up today! Adults and children can register here today, or in person at the George Mullen Activity Center or the Morgan Family Community Center.
