The City of North Port Adopt-a-Street program provides an opportunity for volunteers to cleanup City streets.  Individuals, clubs and organizations can make an invaluable difference in the community and enhance the overall appearance of the City by adopting a segment of street(s) and picking up litter a minimum of four times a year.

Public Works will provide:

  • Trash bags
  • Gloves
  • Litter grabbers
  • Safety vests
  • Collection of bagged trash

The Adopt-a-Street Coordinator will document the accomplishments of each organization which are ultimately incorporated in the local and national Keep America Beautiful reporting.  Public Works staff will install a personalized appreciation sign on the adopted street if the organization or individual completes four cleanups per year.  All Adopt a Street volunteers will be recognized at an annual volunteer awards ceremony conducted by the Keep Sarasota County Beautiful organization.
