2020 Census Information in North Port - Graphic

What is the Census?

The 2020 Census counts every person living in the United States, District of Columbia and five U.S. territories.  The count is mandated by the U.S. Constitution every ten years and is conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency.  The Census helps determine how billions in federal funding is spent.  The data is also used to determine Florida's number of seats in the House of Representatives.  It's important and directly benefits the residents of North Port!
