Established by Ordinance No. 91-6 adopted 04-15-1991 by the City Commission.
Determines eligibility, participation, rules and procedures and performs actuarial studies and valuations of the Firefighters' Pension Fund.
Membership consists of 5 Members: 2 North Port Residents appointed by the Commission, 2 Firefighter Members elected by Firefighter Members in the Plan, and 1 Firefighter Member elected by the majority of other 4 Trustees.
Requirements: a one-year residency in North Port and submission of an Annual Financial Disclosure Form to the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections.
