Established by Ordinance No. 91-7, adopted 04-15-1991 by the City Commission.
Determines eligibility, participation, rules and procedures and performs actuarial studies and valuations of the Police Officers' Pension Fund.
Membership consists of 5 members: 2 North Port Residents appointed by the Commission, 2 Police Officers elected by Police Officer members of the Plan, and 1 Member chosen by the majority of other 4 members.
Requirements: a one-year residency in North Port and submission of an Annual Financial Disclosure Form to the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections.
