Established by Ordinance No. 98-31, adopted 09-17-1990 by the City Commission. Also governed by Advisory Board general legislation in Ordinance No. 2014-07, adopted 02-10-2014 and Ordinance No. 2017-29, adopted 01-09-2018.

An administrative review Board.  Considers appeals on the interpretation and administration of Zoning regulations and variances. 

Membership consists of 7 Regular Members and 2 Alternates. 

Requirements: a one-year residency in North Port and submission of an Annual Financial Disclosure Form to the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections.

Meets monthly on 2nd Friday at 9:00 a.m. as needed. 

Current Vacancies:  2 Alternates.   Members serve a three-year term.
