About the Project
On April 9, 2019, Commission approved the adoption of the Warm Mineral Springs Park Master Plan. This plan includes a comprehensive analysis of the entire 81.6 acres and provides recommendations for future services and amenities. It does not include approval for any financial commitments; those items will be discussed by Commission on a date to be determined.
A large portion of the plan’s creation included community input. The City of North Port and consultants from Kimley-Horn & Associates hosted a series of stakeholder meetings and community engagement sessions on Sept. 18-20, 2018. A survey was also conducted for public input on Warm Mineral Springs.
On February 25, 2020, City Commission approved a contract amendment with Kimley-Horn & Associates for professional design and engineering services to include historic restoration of the existing buildings, utility infrastructure improvements and parking lot improvements. The design and engineering work is estimated to be complete within 18 months.
